Hope in Hard Places

Unexpected. Vibrant. Real.

Psalm 78:15-16

He split rocks in the wilderness and gave them drink abundantly as from the deep. He made streams come out of the rock and caused waters to flow down like rivers.

The Good Life

What is it? Where is it? You reach for it. Sometimes you almost touch it. There’s a hint of it in the kindness of a stranger, shared laughter with a friend, the satisfaction of achievement, the connection of a deep relationship, and the excitement of a new adventure. But nothing completely satisfies, and the moment vanishes. The ache in your heart feels like a memory of something that hasn’t happened yet, a longing for someone you need, and missing a place you’ve never been. There is an answer for your pain, and help is much closer and more refreshing than you ever imagined.

Hard Places

Everyone experiences them. Sometimes they crash into our lives unexpectedly and sweep us into chaos. The relationships, positions, and possessions we trust for security shake and crumble while we struggle to hang on. Other times, the losses pile up gradually, creating invisible walls around our hearts that trap us in fear, confusion, and heartache. How did we get here? How do we get out?

Hope

River Rock Christian Counseling is different. Debbie Turner, Dr. of Ministry, is NOT licensed as a professional counselor, therapist, or psychologist by the state of SC and does NOT diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications for any medical condition. She does NOT use a medical or psychological model or related methods in her approach.

Debbie’s program, RRCC Biblical Soul Care Training, is based on a spiritual discipleship model. Her approach “teaches, reproves, corrects, and trains in righteousness”, as described in 2 Timothy 3:16, to address spiritual needs that form the heart of who you were created to be. These needs influence your thoughts, emotions, and behavior, and are intended to find satisfaction in a personal relationship with the Lord. When submitted to Christ, your individual traits become strengths, equipping you for effective service in God’s Kingdom. When diverted to serve self, they become weaknesses that can control your life. Debbie helps you live freely in Christ by providing real-world guidance grounded in Scripture that recognizes your value, supports growth, and acknowledges your right and responsibility to make your own decisions.

Healing

God sees you and He cares. The RRCC Biblical Soul Care Training approach relies on faith, sound biblical education, and experience in overcoming life struggles to bring authenticity and practical support to every biblical discipling relationship. Debbie comes alongside you in the hard places to help you restore spiritual balance to life, relieve stress, and strengthen your relationships with God and others.
